At the Rodan + Fields Expand Your Horizon’s Tour consultant training in Nashville on Oct. 15, I had the opportunity to speak one-on-one with Rodan + Fields Chairman, Amnon Rodan, about what Rodan + Fields Dermatologists is all about and why the skincare company been so successful.

KD: What is the motivating force behind Rodan + Fields?

Amnon Rodan: Results – that is most of what we are all about — making a difference in the world by changing skin and changing lives.

People who use our products will say, “I was embarrassed by how I looked,” or “I was feeling old or not beautiful.” They they try our products and it changes their skin, and that changes their lives.

KD: What makes the Rodan + Fields business successful?

Amnon Rodan: It is the same thing with our business – results and changing lives. Our business allows people to earn an income that can change their lives, but there’s more to it. Just like we changed Rondel’s life — the homeless man whose story you heard last night — I also had a consultant come up to me recently who’s a leader who said, “The first time I got on stage I thought I would throw up.” Now she’s a leader who’s on stage all the time. The business changed her life.

There are sisters in the business who told me the business brought them closer as a family and that they talk to each other on the phone all the time now, much more now than they did before Rodan + Fields. It’s bringing family members together.

These stories and these results are powerful, uplifting, motivating and why we’re here.

KD: What else would you want to tell people about Rodan + Fields?

Amnon Rodan: Part of our mission statement is to change skin and effect programs to provide the income potential to change lives. We do this through our customers, our consultants, our commitment to the community and by integrity in the marketplace. We are a business entity made up of human beings, so we screw up sometimes and make mistakes, but it is how we handle those mistakes that defines who we are. Changing lives through results, integrity and our marketplace values are how we plan to create an enduring legacy for Rodan + Fields.
